Project Results
The ENTREHUBS project has produced several key results aimed at enhancing entrepreneurship education (EE) in higher education institutions. Our main outcomes include:
1. ENTREHUBS Educational Toolbox
This toolbox consists of two main components:
- A) The ENTREHUBS educational model: The Model for Higher Education Institutions is designed with specific objectives to promote comprehensive and impactful entrepreneurship education across disciplines. The model explains the basic building blocks that can cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset in learners and introduces the concept of value co-creation hubs. It also describes the research activities undertaken by the ENTREHUBS partners from Germany, Greece, Cyprus and Türkiye to develop the model and summarizes the theoretical underpinnings. By describing the implementation phase of this model, some practical guidelines are given to support educators in the practical use of the model.
Educational Resources
- B) The ENTREHUBS online repository: The repository consists of 'ready-to-use' interactive and co-creation activities, as well as lecture plans for cultivating entrepreneurship skills, including relevant case studies from the four partner countries (DE, GR, TK, CY). The resources have been co-created and co-developed by the project partners and thus represent a variety of activities at different educational levels for students with different academic backgrounds. The educational materials are designed to promote entrepreneurial skills, including critical thinking, for students from different disciplines.
2. ENTREHUBS Training Programme for HEI Educators
This programme offers two primary results:
- A) ENTREHUBS training toolkit: The training toolkit aims to train Higher Education educators to deliver Entrepreneurship Education (EE) programmes through the value creation approach. The toolkit includes a whole training programme with theoretical parts for introducing different aspects of EE to educators as well as ready to use teaching and learning resources and an evaluation rubric. The programme contains five jointly developed modules (Co-Creation hubs, Mindsets, Value Creation, Prototyping, how to pitch) and a how-to-guide manual with guidelines for implementing the course.
Training Resources
- B) ENTREHUBS MOOC: The MOOC is destinated for higher education educators to introduce relevant theoretical concepts, examples for lessons and many pedagogical methods that can be used for teaching entrepreneurship to students (e.g. design-thinking, project-based learning) or tools (e.g. slack, google analytics, hootsuite) and quizzes. The course contains five modules: 1. Co-Creation Hubs; 2. Minds and Attitudes for Entrepreneurs; 3. Value Creation through three EntreComp Key Areas; 4. Prototyping and MVP Development; 5. How to Pitch to Investors
3. ENTREHUBS Online Summer School
The course consists of 15 modules and offers students the opportunity to gain 10 ECTS points upon completing the entire course. The course can be implemented as a two-week fully online programme, combining self-paced study and group exercises, resulting in 5 ECTS points. Additionally, students can develop a project based on the value co-creation process to gain an additional 5 ECTS points over a given period of time (ideally 5 weeks). The Online Course can either complement existing courses or be used independently. Students will have the opportunity to engage in ideation, collaborative problem-solving, and interactions with external stakeholders first-hand.
Summer School Resources
Output Description
The Online Summer Course aims to contribute to the development of student-centred Entrepreneurship Education (EE) curricula that empower students to cultivate and critically reflect on their entrepreneurial mindsets and competences.
As part of the ENTREHUBS project, the Summer Course served as a testing ground for lecturers to apply the knowledge and pedagogical tools developed in WP2 and WP3. Additionally, the collaborative development of the joint Online Summer Course programme aimed at enabling partners to experiment with collaborative curriculum design processes. It is important to note that the focus of this experience was less on the results and more on the process itself, leading to the development of the joint programme.
In total, the Summer Course offers students the opportunity to gain 10 ECTS points upon completing the entire course. The course consists of a two-week fully online programme, combining self-paced study materials and group exercises, resulting in 5 ECTS points. Additionally, students can develop a project based on the value co-creation process to gain an additional 5 ECTS points over a given period of time (approx. 5 weeks).
The Summer Course programme can either complement existing courses or be used independently. Students will have the opportunity to engage in ideation, collaborative problem-solving, and interactions with external stakeholders first-hand.

Educator's Guide
If you want to implement the course programme with your students, you find some basic guidelines below. In addition, you can download the complete implementation guide for educators/lecturers.
Educational Approach
The summer course is based on two relevant resources:
1. ENTREHUBS Educational Model
The course follows the main principles of this model:
- To build on the personal experiences of students
- To look on value creation abilities which are helpful in everyday life
2. Value Creation Principles
- To create an experimental environment where students can envision themselves as entrepreneurs
- To foster co-creation and co-designing
- To promote value co-creation and critical thinking
EntreComp Framework
The course includes the 15 competences of this framework and follows the three phase-approach. The course is structured into different units which are interrelated and interconnected, but don't follow a sequential approach.
Course Set-up
Each unit comprises a self-paced asynchronous component, which includes at least one individual assignment, alongside a synchronous group assignment that participants are required to complete in small groups during (afternoon) workshops.
We recommend implementing the workshops with student groups of max. 8 participants and in a transnational setting. Without a common theme, the units do not build on one another, allowing students to join the course according to their personal schedules.
Each unit was developed by another institution and thus reflects diverse teaching styles, academic perspectives, professional backgrounds, and foundational theory. Different lecturers may implement the workshops.

Coordination
- We recommend inviting entrepreneurs to the workshop sessions who may share their work experiences.
- We recommend setting a fixed schedule, specifically when students join from different countries with different time zones.
- Remind students of the upcoming deadlines. We recommend setting weekly deadlines.
- Create weekly student work groups and include ice breaking sessions.
Certificates
The course was designed to offer learning material that allows students to gain 10 ECTS points. We recommend splitting the course into two parts:
- The 2-weeks programme that finishes with 5 ECTS points
- The additional into action phase based on 5 ECTS points
Announcement of the Course
We recommend implementing the course during the Summer period. Thus, start the announcement of the course several weeks before the summer break.
- The online summer school operational guide: This guide provides support and guidelines for the implementation of the online (summer) course for higher education staff. The guide explains the conceptual framework behind the content of this online course, the module plan and gives an orientation for the course timetable, an overview of the modules and the learning objectives. In addition, four case studies from Germany, Turkey, Greece and Cyprus summarise the partners' experiences with this course. A template for a certificate and the module description are attached to the guide, which contains the necessary information for claiming credits at the examination office.
