Karlshochschule International University (KARLS) is a state approved non-profit private foundation university based in Karlsruhe, Germany with currently around 500 students. Methodologically, KARLS specialises in teaching and research on the social practices and social innovation needed to achieve socio-ecological transformation. KARLS cooperates with over 100 partner universities around the world in a variety of student mobility and exchange schemes.

KARLS is cooperating with innovation-oriented SME in the region and beyond, helping to rethink management and social innovation with a variety of societal actors. Students are embedded in several company and community projects in which they learn how to merge theories and practice.

Karlshochschule is currently the best connected institution among all universities of applied sciences in Germany in terms of ERASMUS+ funded study/internship abroad mobilities, connecting to a wide range of international partners. STIMMULI FOR SOCIAL CHANGE

Stimmuli is a non-profit organisation envisioning to inspire future education and ignite positive change in society. To achieve its mission, the organisation designs and implements educational and empowerment projects that cultivate changemaking attitudes, inject entrepreneurial thinking and nudge behavioural shifts for more sustainable lifestyles. In more detail, Stimmuli’s work falls into the following categories: Learning design and assessment.

Stimmuli designs inclusive educational programmes and curriculum for equipping learners of all educational levels (from primary and secondary to higher and adult level education) with 21st century competencies (social, civic and entrepreneurial), fostering knowledge, understanding and ownership of values and attitudes. Stimmuli also brings expertise in the assessment of complex educational interventions with emphasis on competence progression by adopting evaluation methodologies inspired by the realist theories and tools.

Training and capacity building. Stimmuli, develops tailored made material and programmes and delivers training and capacity building activities to individuals and organisations with the aim to provide them with the required knowledge, skills and attitudes for strengthening a culture of continuous social innovation. We work in a variety of fields and disciplines ranging from primary to higher education and adult education. In more detail, we develop and offer: Teacher’s professional development workshops, educational workshops and events, “Train the trainer” sessions as well as empowerment and youth development programs. Social Research. Stimmuli carries out research on a variety of topics related to social innovation, education, (social) entrepreneurship and sustainable development by employing a mix of tools and approaches which usually take the following forms: State of the art analysis, Training needs analysis, Best practice research, Evaluation and Impact assessment, Research and policy design, Project Management.

Our team brings more than 10 years of experience in the coordination, management, financial monitoring and reporting of EU funded projects. Leveraging this experience Stimmuli has the capacity to design, develop and coordinate successful and impactful research and innovation projects. Stimmuli currently employs full-time 11 persons, with a stable collaboration with a network of external experts that support Stimmuli’s activities according to the needs. All members of our team adopt environmentally friendly habits and keep up to date with environmental issues. Our organisation seeks to be an active part of sustainable transformation in line with the European Green Deal and the European Climate Pact. More specifically, our team strives to break the addiction to plastic convenience and use reusable items and recycled packaging, while encouraging alternative ways of commuting to work, such as walking or supporting work from home.

UNIVERSITY OF MACEDONIA

The University of Macedonia was established in its current form in 1990 and is located in Thessaloniki, in Northern Greece. It is a State University under the responsibility of the Ministry of Education. It is a dynamic institution with four faculties consisting of eight undergraduate academic departments covering thirty graduate programs (Master Degrees) in disciplines with a high demand in the labour market. About 16.000 undergraduate and 2.000 graduate students attend courses in the University of Macedonia. They key areas of interest are related to the fields of economics, administration, applied informatics and social and political sciences. The decision making bodies are the senate, the rector and the council. The University of Macedonia employees 241 people as teaching and research staff of various academic levels and 187 technical and administrative employees. Also, the Research Committee employs a number of researcher and scientific staff during the implementation of research projects.

The University’s vision is to become an Institute of Higher Education internationally distinguished for its fields of specialization,

• pursuing research and teaching excellence by constantly improving the services provided,

• endorsing a policy of openness through an international collaboration network with research and educational organizations.

BüYüK ORTADOĞU SAĞLIK VE EĞİTİM VAKFI

"Buyuk Ortadogu Saglik Ve Egitim Vakfi (BOSEV) was founded as an umbrella structure in 2009 by a group of professionals working in the medical and education field, additionally from other sectors like Higher Education, VET, Adult, School education, sports, business world, and ICT. BOSEV aims to support research developments in the all areas with its rich staff capacity and high profile background. In regards to this aim, BOSEV hosts publications with periodical scientific and sectoral magazines; has 50 management board professionals and 100 members providing ongoing, varied voluntary support; and transfers experience and capacity of over 1000 staff. BOSEV is pioneer in innovative initiatives and digital technologies. BOSEV is one of the first organizations that started to provide mobile home-care services, additional medical support services in rural areas as well as digital education services. BOSEV representing also a network including Schools, Regional Authority, CSOs, Companies, etc which makes it possible to reach target groups defined in the application form. UNIVERSITY OF CYPRUS

C4E- Centre for Entrepreneurship, University of Cyprus The Centre for Entrepreneurship of the University of Cyprus was established back in 2014, having a three-fold mission:

a) to foster a culture of innovative entrepreneurship within the University and to develop relevant in-house expertise;

b) to provide the entire University community with high-quality services and the connections required to bring scientific innovations and novel ideas produced inside the University to global marketplaces; and

c) to contribute to the creation of a sustainable innovation ecosystem in Cyprus.

C4E aspires to provide the training, expertise, mentorship, support and connections that University of Cyprus’ s(UCY) students and young scientists need to become effective entrepreneurs. Based on these, C4E engages in the following activities: Education and Training: C4E offers a number of educational and training activities that are open to any member of the University’s Community, including students and researchers, and are also open to the public. Τhematic areas covered through these activities include entrepreneurship, creativity, design thinking, IP law and commercialization, business planning and pitching preparation and negotiation skills among others. C4E also offers to UCY students four free elective courses on Entrepreneurship and Innovation- related subjects and runs the “Programme in Entrepreneurship” since September 2018, that awards students a Certificate in Entrepreneurship. C4E runs a yearly competition “Student Innovators” among UCY students to compete on pitching on their early stage ideas. The Centre also organizes the Cyprus Entrepreneurship Competition (CYEC) which is open to all teams/start ups in Cyprus that wish to enter an Acceleration and Mentoring Program, in order to acquire invaluable knowledge, skills and network with people from academia and industry. Winning teams of the competition receive several awards including prize awards, hosting options, and pitching opportunities in front of investors. Support and Mentoring:The Center organizes an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum annually or bi-annually with a specific theme and with a number of activities such as lectures, discussion panels and presentations from research teams. C4E also runs a mentor’s scheme for academics and students who seek advise on how to further develop their ideas, build their start ups and/or transfer research results to local or international markets. There are 38 mentors including alumni, professionals, business experts, entrepreneurs and academics.

Research and Analysis: C4E is also involved in research and analysis activities related to Innovation and Entrepreneurship. One of the Centre’s biggest endeavors is to coordinate the activities related to the participation of Cyprus in the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) Study since 2016. Makerspace: C4E has established a makerspace where anyone from the University’s community can have access to. Teams of students and researchers can use the makerspace and the available equipment to work on their projects and create their own prototypes. C4E has three full time employees (an operations manager, a training and outreach coordinator and a secretary), 2 Special Scientist working on special projects and the Director of the Centre. Also, a ten percent of the time of the Head of the Innovation Management Unit UCY, is dedicated to C4E’s activities. C4E is employing two undegraduate students to support mainly C4Es training events and the makerspace. C4E has at the moment 74 undergraduate/postgraduade students attending its two free elective courses (seminars, workshops and a group project in entrepreneurship), and plans to offer two free elective courses during summer semester 2022.
